The modern birth process, even under routine conditions, is frequently the first cause of vertebral subluxation. Due to the structure of the infant’s spine, spinal stretching from the birth process is more likely to result in
spinal cord trauma with nerve interference than in damage to the vertebral segments and soft tissue.
